Seas & Centuries is an up and coming local band here in Reno, NV. I’ve had the opportunity to work with them again on their newest album cover and promo photos. We shot down at Oxbow Nature Preserve just before the snow started falling from the sky on this late autumn afternoon.

Photoshoot with New York Bread

A few weeks ago I spent some time with my buddies Alex Bertman & Ryan Boynton over at New York Bread out in Brooklyn, NY. They are getting prepped for their trip to Art Basel in Miami and just finished up their new table to complete their first collection. I watched as the table was finished in the final stages the first few days I visited their studio and was impressed with the quality and design they had crafted. Alex and I spent several hours setting up various styles & photographed the minimalist table for their promotional use.

First and foremost I want to congratulate my good friend/client/producer Big Chocolate (Cameron Argon) on his ever-growing success this year. It’s been a pleasure to work with him over the last several years and to see each other’s work progress in many different ways has been inspiring. Now after touring on the Vans Warped Tour in 2011, he has dominated the global market as an up-coming electronic music producer. He now has CD display racks in Japan featuring photos and album art by yours truly, including his side project Commissioner (with Suicide Silence‘s Mitch Lucker). Check out the image below, and look forward to seeing more work with Cameron again very soon!

WOWwakeplace.com 1st Annual Pro/Am Step-Up/Down Wake Comp

Wow! This last weekend I was fortunate enough to visit the Western Oasis Wakeplace wakeboard park in Minden, NV to photograph a pro competition taking place on the first cable Step-Up/Down wake ramp in the USA! Even after losing a cell phone, a BMW 550 and a pair of shoes to the lake, I had a very successful group of riders throw down for some killer shots! Big thanks to all the riders & the Lippincott family for having me out!

Album Art: Ante – Cruise Control Vol. 2 – UPDATE

I spent the weekend down in Long Beach, California with my friend @AnteHipHop working on his new album cover for his latest release: Cruise Control Vol. 2…

The weather and lighting in southern California is always amazing. We kicked it on the beach all day Friday after location scouting in Laguna and ended up with some gnarly sunburns. The next day we ended up finding the perfect spot for the album cover shot. After heading north to San Pedro we came upon an overlook that was envisioned in the early concept stages. With the help of a friendly crew, we setup the lights just as the sun was coming into the golden hour. The set was disrupted shortly because we were apparently on private property and ended up getting kicked out by security. But not without the final shot that Ante had chose for his newest album!

Waterscapes: A Photo Exhibit

Tomorrow will be my first photo exhibit of the new year. Come check it out at Java Jungle Vino in downtown Reno, NV for the whole month of June. This exhibit will feature a collection of my black and white photos with a focus on water in the landscapes along with the work of a friend photographer Matthew Buccumbusso. Reception is Thursday, June 2nd @ 7pm. Hope to see you there!

About Java Jungle Vino’s First Thursday Art Reception: Java Jungle Vino has become Downtown Reno’s hub for up and coming and established local artists.
